We arrived at Gare du Nord (Station North) in Paris. A very crowded RER B line and Metro subway ride later, we arrived at the Hotel du Petit Louvre. We ended the day with a trip down to St. Michel, an area near Notre Dame Cathedral where the narrow medieval streets are lined with an ethnic rainbow of restaurants and "take-aways", both a gastronomical and visual feast.

Travel Day Saturday- London to Paris
Saturday was a travel day. We left our hotel, the Park International, in London with smiles on our faces ready for the journey to Paris. At St. Pancras International Station in London we boarded the high speed Eurostar train bound for the city of lights. The journey started well as we sped across the English country side and under the Channel, coming up in France. Our scheduled 2 1/2 hour trip turned into a 3 1/2 hour one when signaling problems caused our train to be moved off the high speed line onto a regular line. On the bright side we had a bit more of the country side to look at as a result.
