We're in London! All safe and sound.

Greetings from the UK! Took a bit to get internet access to begin the blog here, otherwise all is well. We are all adjusting to the big time change we've just gone through. Evidently we just dodged the new volacano eruption. Several UK airports were closed today and they say Heathrow may have to close tomorrow. We were lucky.

We checked in our luggage at the hotel about 11:30 this morning and then walked around our neighborhood here in South Kensington while we were waiting for our rooms to be ready. Had lunch and then gave everybody about three hours to relax and take a nap. This evening we visited Big Ben and the Houses of Parliment, Westminster Abbey, #10 Downing Street (home of the Prime Minister), and then came back to our neighborhood so everyone could find supper. Hotel is nice--we all have small fridges so that is a nice perk.

Tomorrow we start museum visits in earnest: Courtauld Insitute Gallery and British Museum.
